After a short career as a concert pianist, I delved into education. I completed her master’s degree in International and Comparative Education at Oxford University, an MPhil in Education at Cambridge University. I later completed my doctoral degree at the Institute of Education at the University of London.

Through my education consulting firm in Germany, I have worked and advised non- profit Education organizations, Multilateral institutions and schools around the globe for 17 years. My focus areas and interests are global education, climate change education, ECE, and the pupil voice. I am also an advisor to children’s museums and children’s media companies. As an Edtech founder, I created a peer-to-peer intercultural skill-sharing platform, Kiddify, which was used in schools globally. As a children’s book author, I create stories to inspire children to understand our “connectedness” to each other and to our planet.

In order to reach the 17 Sustainable development goals set out by all UN member states, current systems have to change. For any system to change, individuals need to re-evaluate their, what I refer to as their inner eco-system (relationships to themselves, others and the planet), and shift their mindsets/ dispositions. Much of the work that I have been doing with educators and schools have been on developing the personal, socio-emotional and cognitive skills that lay the foundation upon which this shift can occur. My work is very much in alignment and espouses the framework outlined in the IDG’s (Inner Development Goals). Read about the IDG’s here.

In addition to advising and consulting educational foundations and schools on global Education, I created Kiddify. Based on nearly 1,000 interviews with children aged 6-12, in 102 countries, we co-created an audio-visual intercultural skill-sharing platform for kids and by kids. The program was developed for schools to facilitate intercultural exchange, through topics and skills that children enjoy.

The program aimed to develop the skills and dispositions, that we believe are critical in this age of global connectivity.

I am passionate about writing books that reflect my global experiences and background. The Perfect Party is my first Picture book, published in 2021 by Yeehoo Press.

A delightful story about the beauty of different cultures and the strength of collaboration.

It’s Little Robin’s birthday, and all the zoo animals want to help him celebrate! Yet with each animal comes different ideas from around the world. So how does one plan the perfect birthday party? First, there’s music! As all the eager creatures join in for a birthday song, what should have been harmonious music turns into chaos: mooing, yelping, braying, and squawking! And then there’s the food! Everyone has their own favorite meals, and no one can agree on anything. But amidst all the noise rings one true note—the recipe for a perfect party? Friends who want to celebrate!
